my story

My name is Lindsay and I am obsessed with Play-Doh.

I am also a working mom of two, a “salty & sweet” addict, a lover of love, a scotch-drinker, a googly-eyed wife, a wannabe hippy, and the favorite subject of my stalker, my dog.    

During the spring of 2017 I was at home working on potty training with my 2-year-old daughter. In search of something to do, I looked in the closet and caught sight of some familiar yellow containers of Play-Doh. After squishing the nostalgic compound in my hands back-and-forth, I began to play... 

I casually made some pancakes and a bagel… By request I made an Elmo and a Mickey… And then, from soul-crushing potty-training frustration, I made a representation of what it felt like to be a new mom trying to get her small child to FINALLY pee in a toilet... 

I posted my creations on my personal Instagram story and one by one, friends & family began to comment on my creations. Fueled by the feedback, I continued to create, taking more time and precision in the pieces I was making. By the end of that summer @DohLife was born. 

The creation of @DohLife gave me an outlet in which I can express myself both creatively and as a fun, sarcastic, relatable human while delivering smile-provoking, quirky, and entertaining content for people to enjoy and share with others.
